About Blue Door

BIG EXPERIENCE. SMALL DOOR.

Blue Door Productions is a small creative studio built on more than three decades of professional production, editing, motion graphics and storytelling experience.

The Idea

WHY BLUE DOOR EXISTS.

I spent most of my career making media inside larger systems: television networks, advertising agencies, production companies and major brands.

Blue Door came from wanting to take everything I learned in those environments and make it available in a much simpler way.

A local business shouldn't need a large agency just to make one strong video. A client with a bigger project shouldn't have to navigate five layers of people before reaching the person actually doing the work.

Blue Door is built around direct collaboration, practical production and making the right thing for the job.

THE EXPERIENCE CAME FIRST.

My background is primarily in editing and motion graphics, with years of work across broadcast, advertising, branded content, healthcare, sports and commercial production.

I've worked on projects for national networks, agencies and brands including NBCUniversal, Google, AT&T, Merck, CVS, TIME, Sports Illustrated, Gilead and Pfizer.

Blue Door isn't a departure from that work. It's a way to bring those skills directly to projects that often don't need the size or overhead of the companies I used to work through.

How I Work

LESS PROCESS. MORE MAKING.

The studio is deliberately small. That's part of the point.

01

You Work Directly With Me

The person you talk to about the idea is the same person making the work. That keeps communication faster and decisions clearer.

02

The Production Fits the Job

Some projects need a camera, an hour and a good edit. Others need a larger production plan. I don't believe in making a project bigger simply because it can be.

03

Experience Without the Layers

The point of Blue Door is not to imitate an agency. It's to bring professional production experience directly to the work itself.

Based in Sloatsburg

THE STUDIO IS LOCAL ON PURPOSE.

Blue Door is based in Sloatsburg, New York, and a big part of what I'm building now is connected to the community around it.

That includes working with local businesses, but it also includes projects like Sloatsburg Stories, which collects the history, memories and voices of the town.

I like the idea that the same studio can make commercial work for a national client and then turn around and record somebody telling a story about the street they grew up on.
